Two things they forgot to mention. Wager chips are not worth 100, just 1. Just multiply the number of betting tokens and chips on the correct answer by the payout odds and that is the number of chips you win.
Also, if you write the answer that pays out, you always get three bonus chips.

This game is great fun! It's a blast. . . easy to learn and easy to play. Lots of fun, even if you don't know the exact answer yourself.
