Jewel is wearing a 19" collar, down from its 20" adjustment shown in last week's "autumn sled ride" video. The 20" may be a better fit. She also is trying an open roller snaffle bridle (her riding bridle) and a jingle bell necklace.

It's good exercise for Jewel, even without me riding the sled the whole time -- it weighs about 70 pounds, and of course has no wheels. :-)

  • I agree add a simple rail to the front... so you don't lean back on the lines. I have a home-made winter sled and the rail is very helpful.

  • I do the same thing with my ponies, there's videos in my things to show, but I don't lean on their mouths. If you want to ride the stoneboat thing, you need to add a rail to lean on to you aren't stablizing on the horses mouth.
