This is my little humorous and satirtical asessment of the songs in the 2nd. semifinal of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. Hope you`ll enjoy it? All the clips are from Svt 1, but I believe short enough not to violate the fair use rule in the US copyright law of 1976. I make no money from this, this is just done for fun - and, hopefully, others amusement.

  • @fnaas Oooops! Sorry! You are refering to the Glee bit. I thought you meant why I used Svt 1 clips in the video. No, Glee wasn`t a success in Norway. They started showing it on Wednesday nights - the first series - not that many episodes. And since nothing. But Swedish TV 4 had it on in the afternoon last year - saw a couple of eps then. Great writing, mostly good acting and very interesting musical arrangements well icorporated into the story. Nice to hear the new text made you laugh.:)

  • @fnaas I think that was a very unfair, and sneaky, question of the reporter to ask. Poor Saade, he probably saw the mindfield and tried to manouvre across it carefully enough not the step on any of them. Just imagaine the headlines the next day if he had said yes: SAADE THINKS HE IS THE NEW ABBA. He had looked a complete prat - ABBA being one of the most successfull bands in history. But if he had said no: SAADE DOUBT HE CAN WIN. Not ideal either. If he is psychic, he should have seen it commin`

  • @fnaas Norwegian tv run a full presentation of every video, and the credits for artist composer is gone before the intro has barly started. Using the clips from Infør Eurovision I get both the music and the credits at the same time, since far shorter clips of the music vids are used in that show. Besides, I like the concept Christer Bjørckman has put together - of having real artists commenting on the entries and performances. It is a lot more fun than just watching video on top of video.

  • @fnaas (Forts.)

Basically what happened was an (extremely weird-looking) Australian reporter asked him if he thought that the fact ABBA placed 3rd in Melodifestivalen the year before they won ESC was an omen he would win this year. (Since he placed 3rd in MF last year). And Eric answered: I don't know actually. I'm not in to stuff like that. (Superstitions) ;)

(He later said he is psychic though, so it's a bit contradictory. xD)

  • @Tvjunkieful12

    BIH: Lol, probably true.

    MDA: I like Georgia! :)

You misunderstood me.. Understandable since you haven't seen it, I wasn't that clear (sorry) & what Eric said sounded a bit funny.. I meant it might be a good sign they announced Eric last since Rybak won and he was announced last..

  • @fnaas Bosnia & H was saved by the silver hair brigade, I think - as well as his extensive fanbase in the Balkan region. Luckily Ice and Spa will be there to steal votes off him, otherwise he would have been my number one tip for Saturday. Mol is unexplainable - but a welcome vote stealer for Geo. Rom a comprimise of new and old - could destroy a little for Hun. Not seen press conference, but I trust he can take a joke as a joke - he didn`t slap Danny when he kissed him. Know of girlfriend Molly

  • @fnaas Correction *“into stuff like that”* xD

  • @Tvjunkieful12 (Forts.)

Hmm, why you've seen it on Swedish television? I mean, it does air in Norwegian TV too, right? 1. I guess so. At first I was just surprised, then I thought it was quite silly. But when it came to “Hoot guys, even hotter guys” part, I bursted into laugh.. xD

  • @Tvjunkieful12 Tack så mycket! :D

Oh, that might be a good sign. But Eric isn't “into that stuff like that”.. (Lol, reference to the press conference, not sure if you saw it..)

I'm not very pleased with the outcome.. I really miss Latvia and Israel. And all songs in my bottom 3 of this Semi made it. -__- (MDA,ROU&BIH)

But I'm very happy for Denmark, Ukraine, Estonia, Ireland and (of course) Sweden, even though I'm not fully pleased with his live vocals. :) Can't wait either!

  • @fnaas Grattis, grattis! Sweden in final! They had to hold him to the last one, didn`t they - just like Rybak in 2009. Poor Christer Bjørckmann, he was probably the one sweathing the most of all. I`m really pleased Sweden made it - and Ireland, and Denmark. With all these ballads going thru as well, it is a very open field for Saturday. Cant wait! Glee, what little I`ve seen on Swedish TV 4, is great in every way. 1. It`s the type of humour that either makes you embaressed or laugh your head off
