  • sam's body was severly beaten, his hands were broken. No only that, but Etta James saw his body at the morgue and said he almost looked decapitated. Face FACTS: I believe he was murdered because he was his own man; no one owned him or his companies.

it's sad that people cant live their own lives without being jealous and spiteful. The hooker he was with was later found guilty of killing another person.

Things that make you go "hmmmm"

  • It's a shame this song never got it's due in the public during Sam's lifetime...it was "wasted" in a sense on the single Allen Klein thought was better than 'Yeah Man'..a song called 'Cousin of Mine'...Cuz of mine didn't chart well and so this song didnt do well...Sam originally wanted to make this the B side of Yeah Man..it's a shame because I think Yeah Man wouldve been a smash, definately on the R&B charts. And this song is one of Sam's prettiest..his voice's rough but vulnerable..a nice mix.

  • @emanuel1193 racist! but it's true I guess lol

  • @audiogarden1 Right on brother (or sister) he sure was!

  • You are listening to the greatest voice in music history right now

  • black people have such a awesome voice...anytime you find white people with similar melodious voice they have some black in their blood :)

  • The lyrics are as gorgeous as the melody and arrangement, and much ahead of their time (I think Sam recorded this in the summer of 1964, a few months before his death). Supposedly, Allen Klein didn't want to release it at first because he felt it wasn't "pop-ish" enough for the Top 40 - which is ironic, because music was beginning to change. Sam was really growing as an artist those last couple of years.

  • flawless
