Jet Powered Glider at Australia Airshow 2007 - Part 1

A jet powered glider is the only one of its type in the world. Each of its two engines produced a mere 48 pounds thrust. The power is enough to get the glider off the ground by itself and doing some aerobatics. The video showed the glider at night with pyrotechnics. Very impressive.

i think the uploader got a bit confused, you see it is a jet powered glider sure, but there is only one jet not two. Its on the roof, and it weighs 48 pounds, and produces (i think) 200pounds of thrust. The glider is called a super salto, or salto super 101. Great plane amazing.

I was there - it was phenomenal. After the jet shows with the screams and the rock music this came out.

The most amazing thing was that everyone went still and silent and watched this thing. It was like a scene from a movie it was so beautiful.

looks to me old Werner and his Solo with pyrotechnic pods mounted on his wingtips... not a jet-powered glider... but i could be wrong of course!
