Is there a larger clip for the .22 mag model? I know you can get a 30 rounder for the lr version. And also can you use the .22 lr aftermarket stocks on the mag version?

@HondaQuality They dont make them. I was hoping for the Ruger version because they did make high caps for it in 17hmr and 22mag. I bought the Remington in very new condition for 225 so cannot complain at that price. Not sure about the stock but happy with the one it came with.

I wish someone would make a rifle like this in a larger caliber like 9mm or .45. Simple, inexpensive, fun to shoot, durable, and powerful enough to use for defenive purposes. Or maybe killing zombies...

@hammurambi Ruger made a few semi autos. The 9mm carbine was my favorite but only saw small capacity factory mags for it, the tube fed 44 magnum shows up in the classifieds every now and then. I prefer the 7.62 for the living impaired. High capacity platforms with dirt cheap ammunition.

I want to buy a Remington 597 but some guys told me Remington dose jam a lot and go to buy a Marlin 795 . What do you think?

@mahmudabdollahi This one is the 22 magnum version and is one of the few semi autos still in production. If you are talking about a reliable 22lr that's affordable, accepts high capacity magazines, and has countless aftermarket upgrades I would go with the Ruger 10/22. I prefer my Sig 522 to it but for the price the Ruger is money well spent.

@TheVinoThunderbird Aww I really wish they would make a big clip .. I have a cz 512 semi auto mag but thats to nice of a gun to take out coon hunting. Ill proly get just a Smith and Wesson mp 15-22.
