This is the Tesla Roadster electric car vs. the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet (996?) in a drag race in Denmark, both tops off. Internal combustion engine versus the electric motor.

I just posted this video on youtube for youtube users to see, after noticing it not being posted here after so long; the video belongs to Tesla Roadster @ Facebook (don't sue me Siry, I'll take it down if requested).

@sharpanator Two different cars, two different design philosophies. It's not saying the Tesla is a Ferrari. It's just demonstrating that an electric car can be competitive. Also, the Tesla isn't light. The body, yeah, but you aren't counting all the batteries it takes to make the current to power an electric motor to those speeds, as well as the cooling equipment it takes to keep it from melting it's coils.
