Anders Hedberg was a scoring machine in the WHA, this is coming from a Cincinnati Stingers fan, who saw Hedberg tear through the league, a great WHA player...

@hoopteechooptee Looks like he was answering someone's question. If you got a better answer, lets hear it Mr. Knowitall.

@HAFFNELSON Thanks for the history lesson, what's your point?

Nice video but esp. for the look at the ultra-red Calgary Cowboys' road unis.

If not believing what I wrote was authentic because it somehow makes you feel less inadequate then you go with that loser. Id expect such irrelevant immature responses from the likes of a 14-year-old, but if youre pushing 50, with nothing to add to the actual subject but rather just inane, immature, invalid responses, then thats just plain sad. You are a pathetic piece of trash. Don't worry, old age security is not far off, where old farts like you can be as miserable as you want.

No old boy... just the result of having knowledge on the subject.

Anders, du är en legend!
The WHA was designed to be a direct competitor and equal to the NHL. To get credibility they signed high-priced stars like Bobby Hull, Derek Sanderson, Gerry Cheevers and Bernie Parent from the NHL. In the end, the WHA legacy was to increase NHL salaries. They had some top stars, but most of the rosters were guys who couldn't land NHL jobs, so the teams were definitely inferior overall to NHL clubs. The league lasted only 7 years 1972-79, with teams losing millions. 4 teams came to the NHL.

This edition of the Winnipeg Jets defined the franchise. The era was the glory days of pro hockey in Winnipeg.
