MI Audio Crunch Box Distortion Pedal

Designed a few years ago, the MI Crunch Box was based on a careful study of the design of British amp overdrive circuits. Experimenting with the midrange frequency concentration of these designs yielded the Crunch Box in 2003. After a few prototypes, the unit was released in 2006.

The MI Crunch Box will take on any distortion pedal on the market. Rock, Metal, Blues, this thing can do it all. If you play single coils, the Crunch Box will make them scream like a fat girl on a pogo stick. If you play humbuckers the Crunch Box will make the Earth quake and little girls cry. @proguitarshop What is the difference? This pedal has the middle knobby above and I/O jacks towards the top of the pedal and power input on top in this video and in the July 20,2009 video the middle knobby is below and the I/O jacks are in the middle and the power input is in the middle. Re they 2 different versions? sound different , the same?

@guitargeant - Two different versions, this one being the older model. No sound difference, just a different layout. Hope that helps.

I LOVE how these guys voice their pedals. I challenge anyone to come up with a non-tube dist/od pedal with that much definition in the harmonics, the individual tones of each string when playing a chord and that almost throaty kind of plexi-esque tone...just better. I have 2 of their TUBE ZONE pedals and they are just killer all damn day long.
