It's no wonder they had so much trouble! It was the skipper who was the idiot., not his deck hand. He never slowed down the boat. Any fool would know not to try gaffing and pulling aboard a fish while you're still moving at 7-10 knots through the water! It may have been a 50 pound fish, but at that speed, it must have felt like they were trying to pull aboard a 200 pounder!

Great video, but clueless mate working that fish. That fish should have been lost.You got lucky w/ it. Get a cockpit harpoon.
