The NIV sir undermines the atonng value of the blood of Christ and brings into question eteranl security and leaves the reader feelling that he needs to work his own way to salvation. This is my problem with that book.

Not until I began to study the old King Jimmie did I begin to have a deep understanding of scripture. When I first got saved I grabbed for an NIV because I thought as you that it was easier to read. Now you know how I know what I know

@AlYassou3Rabbi I understand your point brother. I don't use the NIV only, but as a cross-reference. I prefer the KJV and in fact, I am reading it all the way through for the 3rd time now. I have read other versions all the way through also. There have been many verses in the NIV that give me a better understanding than the KJV did. I agree with you that KJV is the best but I think for anyone who wants to go deeper and learn more about God, they should see what other versions say as well. GBU.

Which book is true Darrell? Is Lucifer the morning star (niv) or is Christ (kjv) the morning star? cuz they cant both be !!!

@AlYassou3Rabbi I know you don't like the NIV but many times it gives a clearer understanding of the same passage. It clearly tells me that Jesus is the son of God, that He died on the cross to save me, that He rose from the dead, and that He is coming back again. I have not perverted the Word of God or the gospel of Christ. I use 3 versions or sometimes 4 to cross reference to make sure I get the true meaning of a verse. I don't talk like 16th century Kings. Forgive me for wanting to learn.

I would like to point out the main differences between the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street. Tea Party protesters proudly flew American flags, posters about less government and more freedom, support Israel, and want people to reap what they sow. Occupy Wall Street protesters proudly burn flags, defecate on police cars, have posters asking for handouts, are supported by socialists, communists, nazis, Iran, Chaves, and other enemies of America, and demonize Israel. Obama I’m sure was allowed to be president because he's helping usher in end time events. Some Americans seem to be blinded. He has done more for end time event's than any president in history. And he does have a Muslim background, Most of his family is Muslim, no denying that. He favors Islam on many decision‘s.
