Paul Simon greatest songwriter next to Bob Dylan

I envy you! I was at Rotterdam in 1983 when they were touring in Europe following that reunion in Central Park
I recall that concert as fine but it surely missed the magic of Central park. Waht I really liked well in Rotterdam that they performed "My little Town" witch I missed in 1981

That was the 70 ties. Why not just hunt and identify those badasses who "put you down to your knees and ruine your existance? Just do it. Only personal -killers want you as a person. Only identifiable personal killers. Get the scum and burn them out and use the appropriate methods. If not ,they"ll keep on comming. Scum always "seem to come" on others peoples lives!

Along with "America" by S+G and "America" by Razorlight this goes to the heart of the "American Dream" and reveals it for what it is, empty and hollow. Simon is the Arthur Miller of the folk world.

I cannot play this song enough!! It's very interesting to note that the tune is taken from JS Bach's "O Sacred Head Now Wounded." I love these lyrics too -- just wish the sheet music had the harmonies on them -- very hard (even as an alto) to pick it out!!

Although it is a Paul Simon song, American Tune with Garfunkel is just amazing. Seeing them in this performance is absolutely moving.

Definitively wonderful!!!!!!!! Only take your time and simply listen it wiht your heart the unbelieable way that it is sang. Hear the amazing combination of voices. There are not so many songs in the history of the music so deep like this!!!
