ABOUT YOUTH VOTE PROJECT
Mission
To have every school in America register their high school senior class to vote before graduation
Vision
Every eligible citizen in America is registered to vote
Why
Throughout history individuals have given their blood, sweat, and tears so that this generation could have a voice. Our commitment is that before graduation every student is registered to vote, and knows the location of their polling station
Who We Are
A group of high school seniors with a commitment to seeing that every young person in the country is registered to vote
*Did you know that almost 70% of all registered young people voted in the last election
What We Do
Partner with schools across the country ensuring that the registration process is complete before a student turns 18 or graduates from high school
In addition, we hold registration drives on college campuses across the country
(Former members who are now college students carry out most of these drives)
How
1) Print out a voter registration form on-line
(If you prefer we can email you the form)
2) Make copies and choose a day to distribute the forms to seniors
(This can be completed by an adminisrator, teacher, or in many cases a student)
3) Have your seniors fill them out (this can take as little as 5 minutes)
4) Collect the forms and place them all in an envelope
5) Mail them by June 1st and email us to confirm that your school is registered
*In an election year, make sure that those turning 18 are registered at least 1 month prior to the election
