Here is my version of the House of the Rising Sun. I'm playing it in the key of Dm on a chromatic mountain dulcimer tuned DAd.

  • Awesome man. I play on a modal fretboard. is it any different playing on a chromatic as far as your fingerings?

  • @DeadSilent120 Thanks for watching. Well, yes it is different considering that I am playing frets that you don't have. Also, the way I'm playing this, there are some accidentals that you can't play on a diatonic fretboard.

  • didnt know these things existed until about 5 secs ago :P

  • @maltsgirl Thanks for watching.

  • sweet music ain't it gr8

  • @Greengulchleaves Thanks for watching. And although I was inspired by the Animals version, I was not trying to copy them. And in case you didn't know, the Animals were doing a cover when they did this song. This is a old traditional song that was first recorded by Texas Alexander in 1927.
