Alexandra Park: Ringing a dunnock
Bird ringing is done by qualified ringer in England. Special permission from the park trustees are required before a bird can be caught in the park.
Ringing is carried out as part of conservation of the birds in the park.
The RSPB website has more about Dunnocks.
Dunnocks are also called Hedge Accentor, Hedge Sparrow or Hedge Warbler.
