Alexandra Park: Ringing a dunnock

Bird ringing is done by qualified ringer in England. Special permission from the park trustees are required before a bird can be caught in the park.

Ringing is carried out as part of conservation of the birds in the park.

  • The RSPB website has more about Dunnocks.

    Dunnocks are also called Hedge Accentor, Hedge Sparrow or Hedge Warbler.
