@jazzandmint Oh yeah. I doubt the writer made this because it was his childhood dream. I miss well written comedy.

@NobleM15fan *Movie, rather, not money. Although I'm sure the main purpose of this film is simply monetary gain, not entertainment.

@NobleM15fan I think that is the problem with many contemporary romantic comedies and comedies in general, the fact that they rely so much on the jokes. Billy Wilder films, such as Some Like it Hot, might have a funny premise, but they're really more incidentally funny. "Over Her Dead Body" is just a classic example of writers trying way too hard to make a money for the sake of making a joke.

@NobleM15fan When Harry Met Sally, The Philadelphia Story, The Shop Around the Corner, Roman Holiday, A Touch of Mink, 500 Days of Summer, and anything starring Jean Harlow or directed by Richard Curtis or Billy Wilder, are all examples of well-crafted chick flicks. I'd recommend checking out a few of those. Then again, the definition of "chick flick" can be up for interpretation.
