Thanks a lot for posting. I'd like to get a good cheap digital piano (any suggestions?) and start learning again with lessons like this based on Hornsby's stuff. I took lessons a long time back so I have a bit of a background. Your teaching style is exactly what I'm looking for. Would you be interested in continuing the videos with some of his other stuff, or just some other parts of the song? If you do videos like this privately for a student then I might be interested.

Hi Tracy,
First, I would start by learning your major and minor triads. We have a video posted on a simple way to do this. Then, in the most simplistic terms, listen to the bass note, then listen to see if the chord sounds major or minor, then try playing that major/minor triad over the bass note. This isn't the entire story but a good starting point for you. Hope this helps!
