If only it was this simple. There's absolutely nothing wrong with donating to see built a statue of Darwin. If you like a historical figure, and want to promote his "message" then you build a statue of him, that's just what you do, whether you're poor or rich doesn't necessarily mean you're being scammed. The problem with religion is it's bullshit, it pampers people intellectually so they never learn to think for themselves, in fact it encourages them not to. It does not deserve a statue.
