Don't understand. I can understand not wanting them to water down the game or port it from a console, since that'll degrade its quality and everything... but why would it matter to anyone if they ported it from PC to a lesser console version?

@Nenyana the index finger is actually what most people call the pointing finger.. so yeah, this game points at the devs, if that's what you mean, but what I think you meant, and I agree, is that this game gives the middle finger to those lazy bastards!

I really hope they improve the monster element in the sequel. I was always hoping for these monster contracts where you'd have to spend time to prepare, lay traps, stuff like that, instead of just going into a crypt, smashing through a weak wall where a slightly oversized ghoul is spotted & killed in 2 minutes. Even that fish-people god from the first one was just a mean fish who walked around and tried to hit you every once in a while. Some monsters should be way too tough to just walk'n smash.

It looks like at least one index finger has already been risen because the GOG site is reporting that pre-orders of ( DRM free)The Witcher have already hit 111,842 units. They say interest in the game is in an upward spike and expect this to continue to rise. Some are already saying that it it might make a powerful case for anti-DRM and PC advocates and some physical copies are nearing limits. I am off to go and buy a digital copy of this game from GOG!, I hope you guys will do the same!

To all of the Devs who use piracy as an excuse to churn out complete and utter crap on the PC and then complain about low sales, this game raises the index finger to all of you. Lets all buy this game and raise the other index finger to those devs who release consolised rubbish and use piracy as a scapegoat. The Witcher 2 is not only an epic game, it is an opportunity to show that PC gamers will pay when something is worth paying for!
