Pat Mc Mahon was 7 years old when he witnessed his first piece of magic a coin trick called scotch and soda. He was instantly smitten with a wonder for magic and proceeded to buy two tricks from the Magic shop in Limerick.

These two tricks, a smoking monkey and a coin trick, provided the tools for Pat to engage and entertain and enthuse audiences even as a young child. In 2004 he attended a Magic Show in Limerick and began to increase his knowledge of magic and the art of entertainment. He began to visit the great annual Magic Convention in Blackpool and slowly but surely his skill and repertoire increased.

Pats other passion in life has been his commitment to youth organizations all his life. With the Scouts and youth clubs and other organizations Pat has been a pillar in his community in helping to inspire children to make more of their lives.

When in late 2009, Pat was made redundant by Dell, a wonderful opportunity magically presented itself. Pat would now be able to combine his twin passions of magic and inspiring children. Christened Myster Magic, he now entertains children at parties, communions, confirmations and other related or special events.

There has been wonderful feedback to his shows. Parents and children alike are captivated by his fun, enthusiasm and ability to entertain. While magic is his great love his great skill is balloons and turning them into fascinating creatures and creations.

About the Show.
Usually I will arrive about up to an hour prior to show to set up props and arrange area where the show will be held. After everyone has arrived and has been greeted by Myster magic show will begin.
Usually I will have a Magic Show for 30mins -40mins and then proceed with the balloon modelling and mini disco for 50 minutes to an hour depending on amount of kids on the day.
If it is a birthday party, the birthday girl/boy will get to help and take part in a magic trick or two and be made feel like the star of the show. In other shows i.e. playschools Myster Magic will always try and get as many kids involved in the show as possible to give a lasting experience to as many as he can.
The Balloon modelling part of the show can be very creative and older kids usually can have a go at making and creating animals of their own, or been thought some of the easier ones by Myster Magic.
At some stage in the show there will be a treat i.e. sweets/lollies for all kids ...this one is a favourite of all children of course
At the end of every show there will be an opportunity to get photographs taken by the parents for kids to be changed into a wizard or princess as a memento of their birthday/party/occasion so remember to have your cameras ready.
Myster magic will leave a lasting impression on all who attend and kids will have great memories for years to come so let the fun times begin...
