http://www.soundpure.com/p/charteroak-e700-fet-multi-pattern-condenser-microp... A Simple stereo pair of Charter Oak Acoustics e700 microphones are used to record a Steinway B 7-foot Grand Piano inside Sound Pure recording studios. They utilize a spaced pair of these incredible microphones into a Millennia HV-3R Mic Preamp, feeding a Lynx Aurora Converter- totally clean, unprocessed signal. The microphone features a particularly large diaphragm capsule and meticulously crafted signal path yielding remarkable musicality, detail, transient information on many applications from Grand Piano, and even kick drum. It is also extremely well priced among the boutique offerings on the market. Sound Pure specializes in helping you get the best studio gear with your budget, and is constantly testing and demo'ing gear in our own studios here at Sound Pure. Please give us at Sound Pure a chance to help you with your next studio upgrade, we sell some of the best products in the business, and many like this one don't have the price tag that is as high as you might think. We can be reached toll free at 888-528-9703.

  • Have to agree with others. This is a superb piece of playing. Really beautiful. The mics do a great job capturing the low end, very smooth and lush!

  • @captainrottenbeard You are too kind! Please let us know if we can help on the recording gear side of things, in any way.

  • Such an improvised sounding composition, yet Ingeniusly classical within American genre..

  • @douglassmcann Thanks for saying so Douglas, you are far too kind!

  • @douglassmcann

Very much agreed. I have to admit half the reason I love Sound Pure's demo's, is Todd on the piano. In fact I've just been watching all his piano videos tonight. Please give us more!

  • @Achase4u Thanks so much- it's just this sort of positive reinforcement that makes me want to make more videos! I'm hoping to procure a new piano so that I can get back to it, but at the moment, I'm searching for one (and currently without a piano at home). There's the instrument in the studio you see in the vids, but that's not exactly a "practice instrument" if you know what I mean. Hope to be back at it soon, thanks again for your kind words. If we can help in any way let us know! -Todd

  • @davidbahar Many thanks! (and thanks to these great mics!) ;)

  • @cholapat Because you could get away with a 2-channel setup, we can help you get into a world-class system that will not break the bank. The system would include 2x microphones (or a stereo microphone), a 2-channel microphone preamplifier, an A/D converter and/or computer interface, software, and quality headphones. At about $5,000 you could get into some truly phenomenol options, if you intend to capture the tone of the room as-is. We could help you acquire premium gear for the entire path.

  • hi, i have a very good piano in a very good accoustic room and i have many repertoires i wanted to record. i'm thinking about making a professional-quality home recording. What other hardware and software, apart from microphones, that i will need to set up a good one? provided that i have a budget of around 5000 USD

  • @scottlum Absolutely. And, we are certainly here for you, just let us know. Also plenty of info on our website, soundpure(dot)com
