Clearly there is a spending problem when the US Government spends $800K to teach African men how to wash their private parts as part of the stimulus package pushed by President Obama. Or how about using federal funds for a cowboy poetry festival in Nevada? Really??? That is not the role of the federal government and ordinary Americans are mad their taxes have been used for these and millions of other ridiculous programs.
You Lie Wally Herger! You're in the pocket of the FOR Profit Insurance companies. We are the ONLY industrialized Nation that has this corrupt system and where families go bankrupt and lose everything if they become terminally ill. You can't trust these people because they hate Government and only want power to enrich themselves and their cronies.
Managed health care doesn't work. For 15 years I worked at a dental managed health care program until it ended 2 years ago due to its 1/2 a million dollar a month cost - just for dental care. What's head-to-toe health care cost? National health care will bankrupt us. Why do you suppose unions get "wavers" to opt out of health care? I'll bet they won't give their membership a rebate for health care savings.
We have a spending and a REVENUE problem. "American families have to make tough choices," but it appears that the large corporations and the rich are continuing to add to their wealth. Last year Mr. Herger was rated a the 42nd most wealthy member of the House. Wonder how many tough choices he's had to make. Wonder why 1 lillylangtree's comment is considered spam or is spam when someone speaks the truth. Where's our health insurance plan, Mr. Herger? You're on the Health committee?
GE generated $10.3 billion, but owed $0.0, received a credit of $1.1 billion, B of A, paid $0.0 & received a 1 billion dollar refund funded by us, Exxon received a $156 $1.0 M dollar refund, BOEING, receives billions from the gov. each year in taxpayer subsidies from the U.S. gov, paid $0.0 taxes" between 2008 &2010, Citigroup's income taxes amounted to a total of $0.00, while"John Havens, head of Citigroup's bank, has a compensation worth $9.5. Tax these corps, not our seniors& working poor!
I commend you for this and other outreach efforts you make. Citizens are beginning to understand these facts and are slowly starting to accept the fact that cuts will have to be made. Some people will object for sure but rest assured that the majority of Americans will be practical and supportive of the actions required to tackle our budget crisis. We need you and your colleagues to show leadership, resolve and honesty to get us back on the right track. Please rein in our government!
When are you going to start talking about the Federal Reserve Bank And Why should they have the power to print money out of thin air which is bad enough, but they are charging us interest on our own money which is most of the debt, we are not buying this ponzi scheme anymore , who's pocket are you in Wally
