One thing they should NOT do is use the current flag of Zimbabwe, which is a variant of Mugabe's ZANU-PF party flag.
The star behind the soapstone bird also represents socialism.
I personally liked the old Rhodesian flag.
A green, white, green flag with the soapstone bird in the center would look nice as well. Or maybe even the flag used from 1979-80 to represent the state of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia.
