Comedian Russell Brand talks about how he is "very grateful to be involved" with the launch of David Lynch Foundation's Operation Warrior Wellness, which offers the Transcendental Meditation technique to veterans suffering with PTSD. He discusses his own experience with TM and how it offered him "access to a deeper state of happiness" and made his "tendency towards selfishness exposed as a superficial and pointless perspective to have." He also explains how it helped him recover from his drug addiction, saying, "my recovery is contingent upon a spiritual component." He goes on to voice his support of TM as something that can not only benefit veterans but all human beings: "This technique is applicable to all human beings in all situations, no matter how extreme, trivial or mundane, everyone can draw from it."

How about not sending people abroad to kill human beings? Ain't that the safest way to avoiding stress, emotional en mental problems? Twisted logic as usual... I mean, it is very commendable what these people are doing, but shouldn't we address the real problem, which is wars in the first place?

Hopefully the more people experience true inner peace the more outer peace there will be in the world. America will certainly be a more peaceful place if the thousands of returning veterans have something to turn to other than drugs and alcohol to help them cope with post-traumatic stress.

I love Russell Brand-- and not in a lustful, sexual kind of attraction either (although he IS beautiful, no lie). I can't really explain it... it's like a really intense feeling of admiration washes over me every time I listen to him-- admiration for the incredible, beautifully flawed human being that he is. And remarkably, some how loving him makes me love humanity as a whole even more.

Wars are caused by unconsciousness. When we realize that we are ALL connected, not only that but we are all one only then may suffering that we inflict on every living and on ourselves stop.

So you see, if you wanted to end war then you would be restricting our very nature.

As long as we have freewill the possibility of war is always there.

Very nice in theory but the fact is that ten thousand dollars is a ton of money to a lot of people. Including most veterans. I know. I'm one of them also. No way I could afford it.
