Composed by Richard Starkey

Tom "T-Bone" Wolk was an American musician. He had been the bassist for Hall & Oates since 1981. He was hired by the duo after he played on the first gold rap record (early 1981) "These Are The Breaks" by Kurtis Blow. He was also the bassist of the Saturday Night Live house band from 1986-1992. Over the years he had played on recordings by many artists including Carly Simon, Elvis Costello, Charlie Musselwhite, Roseanne Cash, Cyndi Lauper, Jewel, Harry Nilsson, Billy Joel, Paul Carrack, and Avril Lavigne to name a few.T-Bone Wolk passed away from a heart attack on February 27, 2010

  • what cd is this off of. I want to get it?

  • @toynton It's called "The Blues White Album"

  • Shocking! He's been with H&O for 30 years. What will they do?!

  • Daryl Hall has been working on a solo album that T-Bone was playing on. He commented that he doesn't know how he's going to finish the album without him, because T-Bone has always been there.

  • Daryl's house won't be the same without you T-Bone.

  • I had the honor of meeting T-Bone on the streets of Boston last year. He was playing at the Orpheum with Daryl and John. He was the lovliest individual, thanked me for coming to the show... Turns out we had some similar acquaintances in VT. I loved T-Bone. Such an incredible talent. I know how saddened I am by this loss, I can only imagine how those who really knew him must be feeling. "The greater you loved, the greater your grief.." Rest well T-Bone, you will never be forgotten.

  • I like his version of the Beatle tune. I think Ringo and the boys would like it also.

  • when i saw him on curtis blows song the breaks i knew he was the baddest bassist in the land he was smooth and funkyy i absolutely idolized him and his ability! he will be missed why so many of our musicians lost to health related issues! Tom "T-Bone"Wolk...R.I.P. we love and miss you now and forever!! From all us brothers on the darkside thanks for years of the funk!

  • So glad to hear this. Hadn't heard him sing...despite all the live shows I had the privilege to attend when he played with Billy Vera in 1976-77

  • i dont like it ringo dose it better

  • Daryl called him the "ampersand' in Hall & Oates. It's gonna be strange without him.

  • RIP T-Bone, and this is an awesome cover!
