Most farms in South Africa are still owned by the minority white community. Facing uncertainty they take measures to protect their land.

  • @tigerbeast777 Farmland wasn't occupied. The tribes lived in the jungle and hunted on the plains. They never cared about farming until the whites came along(most white farmers would argue they still don't care about farming). The government just wants to force the whites off their farms that their ancestors paid for. It's a racist socialist policy. It would be like Obama appointing a black leader to Apple after Steve Jobs died and when the current CEO tried to stop it, he'd be jailed.

  • After the Chinese get done they will be begging the whites to come back.

  • Whites should NOT claim African land that was stolen under colonization and apartheid. Any more thanblacks have rights to any European land. Look at these neanderthals gathered like it's a bloody KKK rally. They will reap what they sow.

  • @AspiringBlackLawyer White is also required to create all colours, so you have just proved to the world that black and white are absolutely necessary to create the rainbow of colours Congratulations, and I hope as an aspiring black lawyer, you make better arguments in your future!

  • The interesting statement is - "87% of CULTIVATED land is owned by white South Africans, not arable, agricultural land. There are millions of hectares that can be cultivated, developed and made profitable, but the black South African wants the farms that people have spent centuries developing. They should do as the white farmer did over all the years, develop their own farms, starting as the white farmers did, from nothing and building up their properties. Anyone can be a farmer in South Africa.

  • @Yepprd ,i guess there is no way of righting the wrongs of the injustice that occured in that country on either side, the people to blame are those that intiated aparthied and this is a backlash of that horrible mistreatment.but i do doubt that when the colonialist were there they didnt forcelly take the land, yes the africans may have been animal herds, but they used the land to graze cattle,to best understand this situation its best to go back in the beginning, the root

  • @Yepprd well which govt gave the the deads,if it has alway favoured white,an aparthied govt, are you kidding me,these blacks would have been forced off land by the white aparthied govt, then sell it to white settlerss,u mean to say these blacks whose ancestors great grand parents lived on that land gave it up to the govt who passed it to white settlers, are you kidding me?

  • South Africa should have land reform. :)

  • "back in the hands" is the LIE that Africa is telling the world. I've seen documentaries where the white farmers have ancestor deeds from the government to the land bought by white settlers in the 1800's passed down generation after generation where no tribes people lived being given to the tribes in 2009. It's the most racist continent in the world.

  • No point in handing out land left right and centre to people who don't know how to farm. If you are going to redistribute land make sure the recipients are accountable in terms of being able to manage and maintain the produce or is it going to be like in Britain where those sitting on their rusty dusty's get everything for nothing and those paying taxes qualify for nothing because they worked and saved.

  • @AspiringBlackLawyer DA! Demokratiese Alliansie!! Real Future. Open Society. Classical Liberalism.
