@DarkFilmDirector I know you commented this a month ago, but with a 150 budget, what would you reccomend for the best overall setup?

Really like your review here - thank you. According to my research, these Audio-Technica ATH-A700's will use up to 64 ohms impedance to drive them; I imagine that while on-board audio will work, to really get the most out of a set of this type of headphone, you should drive them properly (ASUS Xonar Essence, for ex). Also, several videos indicate headphones, like these, sound much better after they are burned in for 16-24 hours. I am buying these, thanks again!

Gaming headsets are ridiculous. Just buy a really good pair of headphones. Like these, Grado 60s, or Sennheiser 5xx series. whose quality is always going to be better than headsets and get a Zalman clip-on mic for $10 - which is better than any headset mic.

@akaTRENT oh I thought you were just backed up with so many things to review cause you do a pretty good job and take your time with the presentation. my condolences man, best of luck to you and those around. I love your stuff though. couldn't wait for your A40 review so I just bought it and tested it myself. it's a good headset but I like the PC 360s better for gaming. A40s were nicer for music. i guess a better multi-purpose set. well that's for another time. keep up the awesome work!
