This 32 year old Zenith set works well. It never took this long to turn on. It sat for several years and now takes a little over a minute to turn on. The picture is very good and was used queit a lot by my Grandma before I aquired. I have no idea of the model. It is Chromomatic and doesn't use tubes.

  • no problem...my Dad had a TV shop many moons ago, and Zenith was our brand.....we sold them all day long at $399.00, the remote version was $479.00. Consider what you get today for that same price...

  • Yeah for that same price, your tv would last all of 6 months.

  • Looks like an older Y1920W

  • Thanks for the information

  • my friend has same tv we plau halo 3 on it useing a modulater

  • I used to use it to play PS2, before I got a new set. This set is very good for that.

  • I remember playing nintendo as a kid on that same model...

  • By then TV's were all solid state. Only the CRT should be a tube by this time.

  • Many thanks for this video, So nice to see old sets like this. Modern TVs can do so much, but they have no character :)

  • You drove your friend in your Truck lol.

  • it could be bad capaciters

  • @Dreambro1 Know what ya mean,...I still have my 20" JVC table model TV that I bought back in 1999,and it has just as good a picture as these new fangled LCD sets do,...and another thing,my JVC has NEVER seen the inside of a repair shop or been touched by a repairman. CRT sets forever! I'll keep my JVC til she quits!

  • I remember having a TV just like that in the living room! I remember watching something Disney with my sister while my parents were chasing the cows or somethings. Years later my sisters would turn the soap operas on. I miss childhood

  • Judge Judy... :)

  • That's not 32 years old.

  • looks a lot like the tv grandma and grandpa had back then. i remember have to adjust the vertical and horizontal on it sometimes cause the screen would roll. ;-)

  • @twintornados You are absolutely right. Zenith actually set the standard everyone had to try to reach and never could. Yup. Zenith's EFL, 25VETP22. It rocked. Zenith knew picture tubes. The Chromacolor tube, the EFL, and the Flat High Tension Shadow Mask. Zenith made great stuff that lasted for years. I still have a 33 year old Zenith with the EFL, System 3. The best Zenith ever! "The Quality Goes In Before The Name Goes On." No truer words ever said.

  • @Dreambro1 While I can agree that cathode ray tubes are inherently better than LCDs' etc etc....the only good CRT was Zeniths' EFL "inline" gun setup....expensive to make and when the hordes of overseas crap first hit our shores....the Zenith was out priced....never out classed....just out priced.

All in the history books now....Zenith finally succumbed and was bought up and dismantled by LG....
