2+2=5 because the Pope said so. Have any of you read some version of the Christian Bible? One may say that the Catholic Church was formed in the Dark Ages of ignorant illiterate masses who believed anything spoken by some clown in a robe. They were forbidden to own and read the Bible. "We are the hierarchy of the Church. We will decide what you are to believe". And this submission to these clowns has persisted down to today. No Biblical support for Vicar of Christ, Purgatory, or Mary worship.

There is no valid "other religion." Sounds like your priest was spot-on. Sorry you don't want to hear that any other religion is false... and yes, Protestantism is a new religion--a departure from the apostolic faith.
