Bird and Squirrel - part 1 of 2

Bird and Squirrel is a 20 minute video piece created by artist Kelli Scott Kelley. Bird and Squirrel is a metaphorical fairytale which tells the story of the last boy and girl on the earth, played Finnian Kelley and Sage Fuchs (son and niece of Kelli Scott Kelley). In the story, the girl and boy create a bird and a squirrel in an attempt to restore life to the planet.

Ms. Kelleys husband William, D. Kelley, composed the music and created the foley sounds for the video. Poet and artist Jacqueline D. Parker wrote the poem Bird and Squirrel which is woven through the video. There is no dialog In Bird and Squirrel, only the voice of Zoe Parker the daughter of Jacqueline, reciting the words in her mothers poem.
