this can go up to 60 knots. but may get damaged by going that fast

I understand the sentiment, but the best proven method of dealing with piracy is to attack their logistic centers. Find out where they live and trade under the sanction of local warlords and reduce them to smoking rubble.
It isn't done because frankly it isn't worth the effort politically and economically.

They could use a pair of Skjold-class vessels to scare the living shit out of the pirates in the Gulf of Aden. Death comes quickly (at 60 knots) with guns blazing and turbines screaming.

unless you own a couple oil companies (majors) you'll never come close to afford one. Join the Navy :P
It doesnt need torpedoes as it got naval strike missiles :)

From wiki "The Naval Strike Missile (NSM) is an anti-ship and land-attack missile developed by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, The state-of-the-art design and use of composite materials is meant to give the missile sophisticated stealth capabilities.Like its Penguin predecessor, NSM is able to fly over and around landmasses, travel in sea skim mode, and then make random manoeuvres in the terminal phase"
