  • i heared from an ex RN fighter jock that the fly by wire jets can have maneuvres preprogramed so that the pilot can just line it up on the computer, press the big green button and pass out and then come too, land and wipe the dribble off his face in time to impregnate any girls who were watching

  • About 3 seconds into that turn I think I would have gone into a coma

  • @afs101 I wish it were that simple :(

  • @k2477456 Ouch... sounds like a bit much but with those types of forces you never know...

  • @rolandmik yes something did happen he overrided the system and he said the adrenaline kept him awake but the F-15 F-22 and F-16 all are set for sustained 9 g max the F-18 is the only fighter set for 7g im not sure why

  • @k2477456

The odd +9 G happens all the time when something doesn't quite go according to plan but generally there is a 9g max because +9 isn't something that can be sustained by a pilot for a meaningful amount of time.

Besides you should view some Formula 1 crash reports, those guys experience +50 g's on impact because of the massive deceleration.

  • @Gdunn585 my CAP commander told me the other day that the biggest reason is beyond 9gs the pilots vertibra start to fuse

  • You think that could have possibly been during a testing phase before they maid the fly by wire not allow the plane to turn over 9 G's? The reason that they keep it at 9 is because 9 is hard enough to keep conciousness, with training you can still stay awake up to around 12 - 14, possibly more but its impractical because pilots have some trouble flying and locking into/killing a target or avoiding a killshot at 6 G's, its very difficult at 9 and 14 would just be overkill.@k2477456

  • @Gdunn585 an F-15 pilot once pulled 14g in combat so i guess not

  • the f-16 has the tightest turning radius of all us jets hence the reason it did what it just did no other us aircraft will turn that tight that fast take it from a pilot who has flown one

  • i wouldnt want to be in that jet

  • @afs101 No this is not true. fly by wire only works like that on Firing. can be preprogrammed on coordinates, but not the maneuvers
