I had 3 babies. The youngest one died this morning.
Their father flew away a week ago.
So the mother had to feed three and the youngest one was just as old as the one in the vid.The other two are much older. One of them was the first to be born (the one I mentioned in the previous comment, and the other one is 3 days younger than him.
Sothe mother only fed the twobig ones.So we took him out of the nest but he was already too weak so he died the next morning out of sheer cold.=( Poor thing.=(

how do you know if a baby lovebird is a male or female???

@rbmdl DNA sexing is the only surefire wall.

there is a little round bone between legs.
in females it has a big hole(for the egg)
in males it has a smaller hole.
but it is very difficult to understand the difference.
Only experienced people could do this.

Not a reliable way of sexing.

And it makes no difference to a lovebird less than a year-old because they are not fully developed.

If you're expirienced with this kind of birds it's quite easy and good way.
The age is a problem. This method needs at least
12 months of life! ;)

It is not reliable. Only an educated guess. Ask breeders who have been doing this for 30 years and they will tell stories of birds that they bought as proven breeders only to find out they were both males. All long time breeders say that the number 1 advancement in aviculture is DNA sexing.
