  • Keep it up Glenn........Millions are with you bro......cant wait untill 2012 when we have the ability to contribute as much as we want to the GOP now...

  • @dadecountyhustler305 The question wasn't about merely "installment" of dictators but rather unequivocal support of their regime in exchange for cooperation between the two side. It is a sequential logic. You assist, validate, and support a dictator, not only you ensure he remains in power, but also kill any glimmer of hope for people to achieve true democracy, because the tyrant will suppress the effort. That's what being discussed here. Try to keep up.

  • @ninuxy You missed the point entirely. This is my last statement because I dont feel like going on with this more, but like I said before that we dont "prop them up"... Dictators have always ruled the middle east. Mubarak is a perfect example, he came through power after the muslim brotherhood assassinated sadat. Nothing to do with America on that one. The shah of Iran being an exception, and a few others but the vast majority of dictators that rule the middle east is not America's fault.

  • And once again, you are resorting to conspiratorial kookery. The MB doesn't have much political clout to vote the future Egyptian parliament into a war as you gratuitously put. This is not your Glenn Beck studio set, quit it with you meretricious babble. Nor is it on MB's agenda to start a shit fight with the neighboring country no matter how much they disagree with their policies. Your averment is not base on facts but rather some psychologically feel-good conspiracy repeated by loonies.

  • @dadecountyhustler305 This is not the only way to keep the world together. If instead of propping up dictators 3/4/5 decades ago, we would have instead encouraged and effectively promoted democracy, "gradually" the nations would have been educated about the benefits of such political system and would have retroactively realigned their national ideologies. You are aiming for a short term gain and security while crushing the hopes of millions to achieve an optimal potential for their country.

  • @ninuxy I know after reading what I say it may easy be disregarded as " a oppressive ideology", but I honestly believe if you observe the world through a real non-utopia lens, then its the only way for it to stay together... Is it fair? No... Is it kind? No... Does it hold the world together? Yes... Perfect example is Egypt... If the Muslim brotherhood doesn't take over and start a regional war with Israeli in the next 30 months then call me an ass hole, if not then I was right... thats all...

  • @ninuxy Lets just agree to disagree... The world doesnt function as simple and easy as you wish, Its very, very complected and complex. Lets both just move on...

  • Now "Koran" tells a dozen countries to gouge prices!!! Yup, I can even smell it over the Internet that you are pulling everything but a kitchen sink out of your fart hole. Take a hike.

  • Enough with this "infidel" doggerel. If you have anything substantial to say, you wouldn't resort to such low buffoonery and infantile argument. It's their natural resources, they can do whatever they want with it.

But the fact that you don't even have a rudimentary of understanding of how market, including commodities, operate goes to show how uninformed you are because price gouging, when the resource is spread across a few dozen countries, doesn't yield in $100/br for no reason.

  • Yes, there would be dictators if the U.S. never meddled in the ME, but now the world knows who did it, i.e. "US". Then how are you going to turn around and preach morality, democracy, and quest for freedom? You already branded yourself as an element in bed with the dictators.

Second, the same way, as you admitted it, we installed regimes, we could have tried to assist in building democracies; but we opted otherwise.
