Youtube won't let me post the link, but google "Coldplay's 1966 Gibson ES335TDC" and you can see that I did, in fact, get the guitar. Security held it for me until after the gig.

It looked like it was given to a member of the audience, but a security guard went and put it down on the right edge of the stage about a minute later.
I spent the rest of the gig trying to work out how I could steal it, but it did in fact stay there the whole time.
