  • The real criminal behind the chinese massacre in Singapore was not G.Yamashita but Colonel Masanobu Tsuji, who clearly drew out the plan for the killing of the chinese. Worse still, he got away with war crimes and went on to become a politician!

  • @safetychoice Not only out of supplies but the allied forces altogether on Singapore outnumbered the japanese troops more than 3 to 1, so Yamashita was actually calling a bluff, by asking for unconditional surrender, he was actually "shaking in his boots", for if Percival decided to street fight , Yamashita would have lost.

  • @terrychan28880 The Japanese had already cut the water supply when they entered Singapore which was one of the vital reasons as to why Percival was forced to surrender.

  • british left a lot of supplies when they retreatrom kualar lumpur to defend johor

  • The funny part of this is that Yamashita was bluffing. The Japanese were almost out of supplies. If the British had fought on, Yamashita would have had to retreat.
