Cadash Arcade Speedrun - Ninja 27:56 1/3

This is a one credit/no death speedrun of the Arcade version of Cadash, played by me on Very Hard with the Ninja. Part of the Taito Legends 2 collection for PC and Xbox (Not available on the PS2 version). Get it!

Playtime calculated from in game timer. (5:00 start time + 32:00 added in game + 0:40 from hourglass - 9:44 end timer)

Part 1 plays through the first two levels (completely skipping Level 2 due to an oversight by the developers!!) and most of Level 3.

and its harder than this. With so many hits you couldnt survive jungle lvl and with such low lvl u cant beat caterpilar that fast. But that differences in vesion. Anyway nice playing M8. Will give u one hint for speeding up. When You hit char is stoping try do all hits together with jumps. Maybe thats a small improvement put after 1000 you speed it up grantly. Cheers!

Yeah, it is a bit difficult stringing jumps and attacks all the time. One of the differences I noticed with some of the other versions of Cadash that I played is that the herbs are a lot more expensive, 200 per pop, and you only get 4...that would change a lot of the strategies that I had with this run, not to mention I would have to be a lot more skilled.

Nice video, I particularly liked the trick for skipping the cave/craken level altogether (I guess only fighter/ninja can pull it off). However a pure speedrun would not use any time levelling up ;-)

Perhaps. I did give no leveling a try in some test runs, with disastrous results, especially with the bosses. Some of the bosses you can't even harm unless you're a certain level, and leveling at the rock monsters is not only easy exp, it certainly makes up for lost time in the later stages.

Oh, and the other characters can get through the water, just much more slowly ;)

Loved this game. It was pretty much the only rpg option at the arcade but my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
