stop motion creates a frame-by-frame, not very connected look but the zoom effects look like you have an intention to make it look connected and footage-like, it's a bit conflicting. i chalk that up to ATTWS being an insanely long song though. i think you might get better results with using a tripod, putting more frames in one second(footage is usually 25 frames per second, and stop motion needs about 10 frames to start looking nice and not choppy), ditching the zoom effects on a single frame

did you use a tripod? some parts are a bit shaky, i hope you don't mind me giving a bit of feedback, i don't have ill intentions :) brilliant idea and it's apparent that you put a lot of thought into it. but with just a little bit more work it would look very professional. for instance the zoom in and zoom out to the pictures looks very amateurish, it's just not done in stop motion movies. continued in the next comment

@chOewOrms Mate, you're insane.. A great piece of work you've done.
Tell me two things:1-could we get in touch and could you give me some suggestions on stop motion filming?
2- how the hell did you render the blood splatter effect?
fantastic.

no kidding man..I guess this is the BEST idea someone has ever had on youtube. It´s even better then the idea of youtube itself
Blind Guardian + Lego + Troy = LEGENDARY
Yes your absolutly right with your statement. It was my first idea and my first stopmotion film.... Not my last!!!! I'm really doing better with my next video working more detailed and more fluid! In my defense, I had not that much time to shoot the scenes (1 and a half week) and I haven't made a storyboard or even a detailed script, I just started shooting and put it together during the following weeks. I often used the Zoom to spread out my short scenes... doing better now ;)

brilliantly done, you really captured the essence of the song/myth - which is not easy with lego! keep making things, i look forward to your next video.

Great work man.I understand how hard it must have been, so don't take this wrong...About the part with the king ("Fear the heat of passion, father king! Desire, lust, obsession...a murderous prize!"),I am pretty sure it's actually Hector talking with his father Priamos, about the arrival of his brother Paris along with Helen, who he stole from Menelaos, thus forcing the Greek kings to wage war against Troy;therefore Priamos shouldn't let them inside the walls of the city. Not the death of Achilles

Hey, I knew about this interpratation when I started making this film. I've read a lot about the greek mythology. And I think too, that this passage is in the ''real'' interpretation different to my video. But I've decided to make my own story, which I can also prove throught the lyrics. This was for me easier to create, because the other version has many time parallels. This was my very first movie, so I created my own version :)
