I remember that. I never really got why Walt was so special if he never returned to the island. so, Black=MIB White=Jacob Red=Islanders who find their sides? And Rose and Bernard have a picture of Vincent lol. Also, It's almost always been 2 groups. Examples: The islanders and the others the beach and the caves Locke and Jack Smoke Locke and Jack etc.

Indeed, they decided simply to live on the island and not try to leave or get involved with what everyone else is doing. To me, it suggests they lived on the island until they both died from old age.

In Season 5, Rose and Bernard are revealed to have lived in a shack on the island the whole time they were gone. So they weren't dead in the first place.

There are many black/white-things in the show. Here are some I noticed:
When Kate is preparing to sew up Jack's wound, she asks him if he had a thread color preference for the stitches, and Jack replies, "No. Standard black."
Jack found a leather pouch in the pocket of one of the bodies of Adam and Eve. Inside were two small square shaped polished stones; one black and one white

One theory that I'm leaning toward is that the "Adam and Eve" skeletons in the cave are actually Rose and Bernard from Flight 815. And something I just thought of is the fact that Rose is black and Bernard is white. Another reference?

ye... just like when u see the smoke monster it eather does a bright white light or a black cloud of smoke.... or how those 2 skeletons wer found in the cave with nothing but a white and black rock in there pocket

It is forshadowing. The whole premise of LOST has ALWAYS been dark vs light (good vs bad). If this is a revolution to you then I dont know how you have followed the show to this point.

its not really foreshadowing. its just a central theme of the show it's seen every so often if you're careful. but it does allow us to assume that jacob is good.
