  • Uhm, teraFLOPS is a real computer term:

    1 teraFLOPS = 1 trillion FLoating-point Operations Per Second (10^12 FLOPS).

If you want more details, look it up on Google. It's a benchmark for performance.

SkyNet is actually pretty SLOW at 60 teraFLOPS. Last year Cray reached 1.6 petaFLOPS (1 petaFLOPS = 1000 teraFLOPS). Heck, graphics cards can exceed 1 TeraFLOPS nowadays...

They should REALLY get people who have a clue about computers "hacking hollywood".

  • teraflops are definitely real...all they had to do was google it...

  • There is this thing called "Google", bitches, use it next time before you put out an episode.

  • @romemmy I think they just wanted to know what it was cus if you told me 1 teraFLOPS = 1 trillion FLotating-point operations/per sec. I would have no clue what the hell that is

  • you guys are funny, you should have more views!

  • new iphone will double that..

First i was like ?? then LOL.

  • 60 TeraFLOPS is alot.. LOL a pc running at 800MHz is the rate of 0.00024 TeraFLOPS.. so 60.0 (60.00000) is a lot haha.

  • f uk u nerds this movie is cool stfu

  • teraflops are a trillion floating point operations per second

  • I think petaflops are the next level up, right?

  • Weighted TeraFLOPS (WT) is a unit of measurement introduced by the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security to specify Adjusted Peak Performance (APP).

The weighting factor is 0.3 for non-vector processors and 0.9 for vector processors. For example, a PowerPC 750 running at 800MHz would be rated at 0.00072 WT due to being able to execute one floating point instruction per cycle and not having a vector unit. (

  • I think these videos are funny, and I've watched three now. I like watching them so far.
