A. Yes it is, and if you think LZ, Deep Purple, or Blue Cheer is the first metal band then you need to learn the difference between hard rock and metal. Well, Blue Cheer was more acid rock really. Those roman numerals are a joke really. Coltrane made brand new chord progressions, it's not impossible to make something brand new. Go listen to Song Of Solomon by Animals As Leaders and then tell me everything is just a rehash of stuff that's been done before.

The music doesn't, but the substance is VERY harmful.

A) That's not the first Metal riff.
B) The reality of music is that somewhere, somehow, someone has already done it, melodically at least. Better off just accepting that all music is just a regurgitation of classical in modern forms or a reinvention of tried-and-true methods (I-IV-V-I Rock/Pop).
C) Rawrgrlgrl.

haha , i know why there are lots of heavy metal that likes classical, that is because while they are listening metal in many moments they are listening classical music... YES, they are listening classical because a lot of metal composer STEAL melodies, notes, chord progressions from classical music!! haha Anyone there says Yngwie Malmsteen? xD

@Cracklejacks Someone should go to a bunch of heavy metal videos and be like "I'm a huge fan of classical music but I like this."
