Big Sloppy getting the treatment from the upper-deck Yankee faithful with chants of "You did Steroids!"
People knock A-Rod all the time for something, but at least he didn't deny it, he admitted it and moved on with life. Big Sloppy just sat up there in that news conference and denied denied denied... even his BFF Manny admitted it!

okay so it was cool when Boston fans chanted the same thing to a-rod? its sports its out of fun it doesnt mean a whole city is ignorant you all felt bad when 9-11 happen its pathetic how your perspective on a whole city goes by a fan base video posted on youtube

Yeah i was thinking of someone else. Rose, Durant, Griffin, maybe Carmelo are the three biggest players in the league. Since they are young that is, and extremely good.

Yeah i was thinking of someone else, not Carmelo. The Lakers are old. Kobe, Pau, and another guy is it Lamar Odom? Will retire in say 5 years. Not really a basketbal person anyways but the Celtics are good.

@BoSoxnation1972 Fair to say I suppose. Nontheless, I think Yankee fans and Red Sox fans are silly to argue things such as Steroids (both have had him), High payroll (both have them), Fan base (both have good and bad ones), Ballpark factors (Both have them). etc.
I'm just saying our teams and fan bases are very similar that it's pointless to argue who is better who is worse. Not that that was the original topic, but I'm just saying in general.

@nyyanksrdbest No, Boston drafted Schilling who was traded to the Orioles for Mike Boddicker. And the 2004 team wasn't full of high priced free agent signings. Manny and Damon were the only 2. Ortiz wasn't offered a contract by Minnesota. No other team but Boston even wanted him! Boston had traded 4 top prospects for Pedro, includuing Carl Pavano who is still pitching while Pedro is long gone. They also traded their franchise player in 04', Nomar, for a rental shortstop and back-up 1st baseman!

@BoSoxnation1972 Didn't Schilling start with the Orioles?
And by the way, the only homegrown player on the 2004 championship team was Trot Nixon (Not even going to count Youlkilis really who had maybe 1 AB all postseason). Everyone else was via free agency or trade. Although if you want to count Varitek I suppose that's fair.

@lamface1 I could say the same the other way around. What's the point of Red Sox fans flipping out on A-Rod when the heart and soul of their championship teams took roids. The heart and soul of the Yankees have always been Jeter and Rivera since 96, neither of whom are even remotely linked to steroids. There's a difference between scrub players like Knoblauch taking it and the 2 best hitters on your team. The only significan Yankee to ever do it (In a championship year) was Clemens.
