@ Victor I agree that developed economies with a culture of retirement and providing benefits to the older citizens work like Ponzi schemes. But if a lack of bodies is the problem, then immigration (legal) solves that problem. Contraception nor abortion created the crisis. In fact, since many jobs that have been lost don't need to be replaced and many others could be cut, more contraception may be the solution. To sustain our competitive edge in the world market, we need more productivity.

All economies basically work like Ponzi schemes. We need new people coming in to keep the whole thing floating. The Baby Boom Generation literally killed off a large portion of those who were supposed to support them. They promoted a policy of actively preventing replacements from enterring the economy, contraception. They invented a mythology of overpopulation to justify this socially suicidal policies. Now Western Civilization will die b/c of it. Progressivism is death.
