  • that one guy looks like a brit version of Ted Danson....CHEERS mate heh

  • @woo081 i wouldn't swap a dog for that dudes mrs she's kicked

  • fuck that im a straight grafter i just go in to the stores and rob what i want

  • I work at a grocery store and we are required to throw away any "damaged" merchandise. Even if for example the box, case, bag etc is cut slightly with a box cutter while un boxing to put on the shelf. I have asked if we are allowed to save it rather than throw it into the incinerator they told me i would be fired if I attempted this

  • @cHaBiNoUrS Tell me something- what is cheaper, buying bleach to destroy perfectly good food or letting a food bank rep come take it off your hands? Grocery stores donate unsellable product all the time, and there are simple legal precautions that remove any liability. Because Freeganism is generally conducted at night and in secret, it is not good at making a public statement, and because it waits until the food is already in the bin, it's inefficient and wasteful to boot.

  • @iamihop11 The grocery store managers put bleach in their bins to avoid that. They r afraid of bein sued if there is a health issue if someone eat their garbage. And if they give food they don't make money. so either they sell it -cheaper but selling still- either they "destroy" their products.Freeganism is a way to make people think about it and for those who do it to live with their values. In fact this issue is all about law freegan find food in restaurant and store, not in residential bins...

  • Hmm, this is a nice societal service, like fungus or scavengers. But it doesn't make much progress toward solving the systemic problems that cause such vast food waste. Wouldn't it make more sense to coordinate with the grocery store managers to have them donate unsellable food? It would be much more efficient and more legal...

  • our grocery stores don't put out anything near the dumpsters. I found zero behind the grocery. BUT last night - I did find a cool sign - for a cell phone company - that I plan to use to make a new sign.

  • His voice is so soothing

  • @woo081 thats what i thought. lol.
