Tom Baker was to England what Gerard Depardieu was to France; A loveable bohemian rogue! One of the good ones!

For some reason, I like the way he says the word "pervert".
Wait... That doesn't make me a pervert, does it...?

there are red roses all over the stage. tom's holding one in his hand as he talks. no woman gives red roses to her father. i rest my case.

I was a this convention. Very cool to see again.

I've met Tom at one of these conventions...alas I just need to find the pic that was taken to prove it.

I think it's fair to say that, at least for my generation, Tom did represent a father figure, as well as someone one could fall deeply in love with. I don't necessarily see a contradiction in that. I was 3 when I first saw Tom in Dr Who, and by the time I was 6, had decided I wanted to marry him one day (too young to realise that by the time I was old enough to marry him, he would be old enough to be my grandfather! :-D ) I've always loved Tom, and always will...

Did this clueless male narrator just state that Baker's female fans regard him as a FATHER FIGURE??? And fanboys wonder why they're alone on Saturday night ....
Proof, if proof needed, that Americans aren't all stupid.
