I'm a huge Transformers fan and believe it's directly because of this movie that the franchise is so venerable and well loved. By killing Optimus Prime, if even just for a short period of time, they turned him into a legend. Season 3, even with all it's blemishes, really took the Transformers to a whole new level.

Hey female kakuzu I know my history on who came out first. The gobots just because you hate them doesn't mean everyone suppose to think like you. Gobots and Transformers are both good and thats why theres generic robot changing into vehicle toys. Why do you call yourself kakuzu thats not a robot name ha! ha!
