~How To Kill An Adamantoise Quickly & Easily~

From Chapter 12 Onwards, it is possible to kill these Adamantoises in minimal time.
But first, you need Vanille's "Death" ability, found in stage 9 of her Saboteur Crystarium.
Steps:

1. Set up the Paradigm "Espionage" (Saboteur + Saboteur + Synergist) and set Vanille as party leader.
2. Equip Vanille with either the Belladonna Wand (For "Improved Debuffing"), Malboro Wand or Nirvana (For "Improved Debuffing II").
3. Equip other characters with items that either boost drops, ATB, or whatever, they are merely supporting roles and will not be doing much attacking.
4. Make sure to have AT LEAST 3 TP, this is to ensure that when you begin the battle, you can take out the legs making it useless.
5. Head to the Leviathan's Plaza in Eden to find the Adamantoise.
6. Head into battle, either let your Synergist boost you with haste before getting hit, or just Summon your Eidolon.
7. Quickly go into Gestalt Mode, hit Triangle / Y to use Gaian Salvo and exit the Gestalt Mode.
8. Spam Death like there is no tomorrow. This is purely luck based and could take several attempts to kill it.

Tips: Maxing out Vanille's Saboteur Crystarium will enable you to increase the chance of Death actually working.
If you fail, just pause, hit Select / Back, and select retry.
The Platinum Ingot it drops is worth 150,000 gil, so make sure to sell it straight away for items or upgrading weapons and accessories.
If you're feeling lucky and have enough HP, replace a Saboteur (Not Vanille of course) with a Sentinel to extend the ammount of time you have to kill this beast.
This is a fairly quick way to level up an underdeveloped party for the upcoming bosses and future Mark missions.

We just beat it and it didn't drop the Platinum Ingot worth 150,000. Any idea why?

@everett88usc It's not a 100% guaranteed drop, more like a 5% chance of dropping it, and only a 0.5% chance to receive a Trapezohedron

@toybirdy = 30 Deaths cast on him. I did this in Stage 9 Crystarium 100% maxed (All roles level 2 and 4 maxed). I did this because I wanted the Plush Chocobo and Particle Accelerator items, which I cannot get if the Adamantoise lives, because he will walk on the glass platform and take one of the supply spheres with him. No matter how far he is from the area, he will always get there and break the 2nd supply sphere you try to get. I killed him, so he could not step on the glass and break it. Lol

If you're using death, there's a 1% chance of success

Veil increases chance by 1.2x

Curse Increases chance by 1.2x

Leader Role Bonus - level 4 1.33x - level 5 1.4x

Allies Role Bonus - level 2 1.04x - level 3 1.08x - level 4 1.08x - level 5 1.12x

Belladonna Wand - 1.2x - Malboro Wand 1.4x

So if Vanille is role level 5 with Malboro, Veil and Curse is 2.2% chance of death, add two other level 5 allies and its 2.24% chance of death.

15 Death every try, 2 try.

@Keyblamast78 My sister says she loves you. Lol. Thank you very much, you helped us out a lot. Our weapons and gear was all maxed already (weapons at Tier 2, Improved Debuffing II for Vanille too), so we had an even easier time doing death.

What do you mean? It's Death, so it kills. Of course, being such a powerful spell, it has a low success rate, therefore you have to increase it through means such as placing other SAB roles in your party and equipping what was said. Even then, it's a low chance.
