This is a dance I choreographed in 2008. This is the short blurb included in the program. It was filmed through old plexi glass so it's not super great quality.
In different seasons of our lives we have the privilege of walking with people. Some stay longer in our lives and their companionship is sweet and life-giving. Their memories are always welcome and accompanied with a smile. Others do not. Regardless, we are left with the fingerprints of those who loved us and those who grieved us all over our hands and hearts. This is what makes transition so hard. People come and go, are here one minute and gone the next. As people come and go more quickly its easy to absent ourselves from really knowing one other. How can we say hello to a new face when our hearts are so desperately missing last years face? Relationship is precarious at best, but ultimately deposit such life in us. We need to face new seasons and new faces with honesty and honor.
