The books this was based on was written in 1914 well before any of the movies mentioned in the comments. And yes even before the first conan story by nearly 20 yrs. So maybe they are all kinda John Carteresque :)

@tyria93 I think their holding it back for promotional purposes. The Rock Em Sockem Robots movie renamed Real Steel with Hue Jackman has been done for some time now but they still have to put it out. So I guess its either legal issues, Strategy, or Promo that holds some movies back.

i like the fact that in the trailer there is stuff from 1/1.30 hours into the movie wich means its 90% done, so why the fuck does it come out in 2012!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
