I don't think people realize this was the FIRST 'American Idol' performance ever. The day she got eliminated was one of the saddest moments in my 12 year old life. LOL.

@Rorodatzmeh keep in mind this performance was before the epic jennifer hudson version, which most people (maybe or may not be you) will compare this to looking back at it

this was the 1ST season of American Idol you CANT say she sounds like some1 who sang the song AFTER she did. Get it together

@youresoshain In these competitions, especially in the early rounds, you're working with very limited time constraints. Usually 60-90 seconds, so all things considered she did pretty well.

It's sad that so many people shit on Kelly in this videos comments, both Tamyra and Kelly are great singers and both have amazing careers... there' s no way to change the past and while Tamyra was easily robbed out of her deserved position in the top 2 with Kelly, there is no way to change it... they both were equally incredible and deserving
